Motility disorders may be defined as disorders of the gastrointestinal tract in which the muscle and nerves do not function correctly. Our center of excellence has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating all varieties of motility disorders, including: achalasia, dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), dyspepsia, gastroparesis, constipation, Hirschsprung's disease, diarrhoea, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction, and pelvic floor dysfunction. The Hepatopancreaticobiliary Disease Center provides a multidisciplinary assessment and treatment of liver, pancreatic and biliary system disorders. The Center has expertise in the diagnosis and management of gallstone disease and its complications; benign and malignant tumours of the liver, bile ducts and pancreas; chronic pancreatitis; benign and malignant pancreatic cysts and chronic liver disease and its complications. Highly specialized diagnostic and therapeutic services are coordinated in the departments/sections of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Pathology, Radiology, Surgery, Oncology, and Radiation Therapy.
